The Full Story

Isabella Hunter’s story is a powerful example of how yoga can be a transformative practice, especially when it’s combined with professional mental health support. Her diverse certifications and personal experience give her a unique perspective on healing, particularly for those dealing with trauma, anxiety, and PTS(D). It’s impressive that she’s able to use her own journey to help others navigate similar challenges. 

Isabella takes a very personalized, compassionate approach to her yoga teaching, which is so important for students who may be navigating complex emotional and mental health challenges. By meeting students where they are, she helps create a sense of safety and empowerment, allowing them to explore their practice at their own pace. The combination of pranayama, vinyasa, and restorative practices gives her a lot of tools to tailor each session to the individual. When applicable, she includes thoughtful journal prompts to encourage self-reflection and helps students to build a bridge between their yoga practice and their therapeutic work. Isabella currently holds 500CYT, Restorative Yoga Certification, Trauma Informed Yoga Certification, and Veteran's Yoga Project Trauma Informed Yoga Certification.

Mission

At Foresight Yoga, the focus is on a holistic approach to mental health, specifically catering to those who are on a journey towards therapy. Through 1:1 and small group sessions, clients can experience the healing power of yoga in a safe and supportive environment. The sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, providing a space for relaxation, mindfulness, and self-discovery. Yoga has long been recognized for its positive effects on mental health, helping to reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance overall mental well-being. By combining traditional yoga practices with a therapeutic approach, Foresight Yoga aims to support clients in finding greater peace and clarity in their lives.

Vision

Through a blend of physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques, I aim to provide a supportive space for clients to explore their mental well-being. By focusing on supporting mental health through yoga, clients can experience a deeper connection between mind and body, leading to improved overall wellness. One of the key aspects of my approach is its emphasis on collaboration with mental health professionals. By working in conjunction with therapy, personalized yoga sessions can complement traditional treatment methods and enhance the therapeutic process. This integration allows for a more comprehensive and holistic approach to mental health care.
